Emma Hou was born in February 2013 and currently is a fifth grader at Wayside Elementary School located in Potomac, MD. Emma started to learn piano when she was five, and has been learning piano in Dr. Marjorie Lee’s piano studio since 2020.  Emma received awards from multiple piano competitions including first place in 2021 Washington Music Teachers Association Specialty Competition Music of Germany, first place in 2021 Washington Music Teacher Association Specialty, first place in 2021 International Elite Music competition, first place in 2022 MSMTA Piano Solo Festival, first place in 2022 Hartman piano competition, first place in 2022 Charleston International Music Competition 19th century music competition, Honor Winner in 2022 NVMT Sonata Festival, third place in 2021 Gottlieb Competition, and third place in 2022 WMTA Hungarian Music Piano Competition. Emma is also playing cello in MCYO Chamber Strings.  She loves playing tennis, skiing and reading.
