The Music and Love group visited a new senior living community called Brightview Grosvenor today. When we arrived, many residents were waiting for us. Despite it being our first time there, they were still very excited to see us. Some of the staff took pictures and videos of us during our performance. Every time we finished playing a piece, they clapped and showered us with compliments like 'Bravo' and 'Amazing'. The highlight of our performance was a piano and violin duet by Eileen and Irene, who played a beautiful and nostalgic piece called 'A Time for Us', which really moved the audience. After we all got home, the director of Brightview Grosvenor sent us an email expressing their excitement about what they had seen and heard during the performance. We had an amazing time overall! It was such a great experience for us and we thoroughly enjoyed it. (Reported by Allie Rui)

Today, the Music and Love group visited the Raphael House where we performed for many residents who were eagerly waiting for us. Even the cat of Raphael House was present and walked around us before going under our chairs. It seemed like the cat was already familiar with us and enjoyed our music. As the performance went on, some of the residents' family members joined in and clapped for us, saying that we were super awesome. Additionally, three new young musicians attended our group and played well. Toward the end of the performance, two girls played a piano and violin duet called "A Time for Us," which everyone enjoyed listening to. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and everyone had a great time. (Reported by Allie Rui)
For the first time in the new year, we were brought together once again at the Raphael house. We celebrated Valentine’s day by passing out Valentine’s cards for everybody. Even Raphael the cat joined in for the celebration of the sweetest holiday with us!. He majestically listened to the music and walked around for everybody to pet him. He even put on nail polish for Valentine’s day! We also celebrated the Lunar New Year with all the young musicians. Everyone received a chinese knot which symbolizes good luck. Wishing you endless luck and happiness in the Dragon year! (Reported by Emma Hou)
Today was awesome! The Music and Love Group visited a new senior living. We decided to throw an early Valentine’s Day party! When we arrived, one of the ladies told us it was her birthday, and she had a big balloon tied to her walker. So some musicians secretly planned a special piece for her. How cool is that? We couldn’t wait to make her day even better! During our performance, some of our musicians passed out Valentine’s cards to everyone. They all looked super happy! Then, at the end, we surprised the birthday lady with a special song played by a piano and violin trio. Everyone sang along, and it was the most fun ever!
(Reported by Allie Rui) The talented young artists from Yan Art Studio recently dedicated their time and creativity to making 50 beautifully crafted Valentine's Day cards to donate to Music and Love Inc. These vibrant cards, filled with heartfelt messages and charming illustrations, will soon bring joy and warmth to the residents of two local senior living centers. On February 4th, the young musicians will visit The Terraces at Tuckerman Lane to share these cards with residents. A week later, on February 11th, they will visit the Raphael House to brighten up the day of its residents with these thoughtful cards. We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and hard work of the artists from Yan Art Studio, whose dedication to spreading love and kindness in our community is truly admirable.
