Yay! Awesome! Spring break is here! The Music and Love group stopped by Brightview Grosvenor once again to share our beautiful performance with the residents. The room was bathed in a warm glow of sunlight that streamed through the windows, adding a touch of magic to the performance. As we began to play, the notes filled the room, lifting the spirits of all who were present. Two talented sisters joined us and played an amazing piano and cello duet called Allegro. And that's not all, three girls from MCYO preparatory strings also played two beautiful pieces: Adagietto from Symphony No.5 and Finale from Overture No.5. All the audience applauded for them. It was such a fun and memorable experience. Hope everyone will have a nice spring break!!! (Reported by Allie Rui)

Hopefully, you found your luck on this beautiful warm St Patrick’s Day! To celebrate the holiday, everybody from our group dressed up in all shades of green. Shamrock green, lime green, and pine green all filled the Raphael house as we played delightful pieces. Even the Raphael house residents and staff decorated the rooms with leprechauns and four-leaf clovers! Claire played a very powerful violin piece: The Two Grenadiers, which many people applauded. Samuel Lu played a wonderful Bach Italian Concerto on the piano. We all had fun on this St Patrick’s Day! (Reported by Emma Hou)
Today the Music and Love group visited Raphael House. As soon as we entered, we saw the hallways were adorned with sparkling green and white four-leaf clovers, cute Leprechaun stuffed toys, and felt garlands hanging on the walls. A cauldron filled with golden coins was placed on a table, adding to the festive vibe of the place. Even though St. Patrick's Day is still a week away, the whole house was decorated beautifully, creating a cheerful and welcoming atmosphere. The highlight of our performance was when Jake, a new member of our group, took the stage and sang "Yesterday" by the Beatles. His beautiful voice filled the room, and soon the residents joined in with him, singing along to the timeless classic. It was a heartwarming moment, and we left Raphael House feeling grateful for the opportunity to share our love of music with the residents. (Reported by Allie Rui)
The groundhog was telling the truth! It was a very nice, warm spring day when we reunited at the Byron House. We even had some new musicians that joined us! People enthusiastically applauded us and we were presented with compliments such as “wonderful,” and “beautiful”! Many people were moved by Allie’s nocturne and Alex’s sarabande. Even one of the staff said we did a great job and took a recording. Thanks to Rishita’s family, all the seniors got some girl scout cookies. We all had fun and we’re sure everybody else did too!
