Today was not only hot but also very special, as we brought our passion and music to Holy Cross Hospital. Candice and Caitlyn opened the event beautifully with a warmly played piano duet, setting a welcoming tone for the audience. Following them, Rishita energized the room with Allegro Spirituoso, a fast, spirited, and lively piece. Next came a delightful surprise as Evelyn and Edwin performed a popular duet, Humoresque, which amazed everyone with its charm and harmony. Momo followed with Sonata No. 1 on the violin, a piece full of twists, turns, and dramatic shifts in dynamics that captivated the listeners. Then, Marcus brought a different color to the performance with his clarinet, filling the room with cheerful and relaxing melodies. To close the event, Momo returned to the stage with Tsumugi for a violin duet. Their wonderful skill and harmony left a lasting impression. Despite the heat and humidity, the patients and staff at Holy Cross Hospital were deeply touched by the music. Our young musicians brought more than just notes—they brought love, peace, and joy to everyone’s hearts. (Reported by Candice Xu)

Music and Love successfully organized a heartfelt concert at Wanda Plaza in Shenyang, China, to celebrate World Caring Day. This meaningful event brought together a group of talented young musicians who performed a variety of classical and contemporary pieces, delighting audiences and promoting the spirit of kindness and unity. What made this concert particularly special was its role in strengthening cultural and emotional connections between youth in China and the United States. For this celebration, young performers from both countries collaborated by sharing performance videos, messages of friendship, and stories of compassion. These exchanges were displayed during the concert in Shenyang, allowing the audience to experience the talents and caring hearts of young musicians from both nations. This cross-cultural effort not only celebrated World Caring Day, but also highlighted the power of music to transcend borders and foster international understanding. Through this event, we continues to inspire young people in China and the U.S. to work together, perform together, and care together. (Reported by Allie Rui)

On a hot, sunny day in July, Music and Love once again set out to bring smiles to the faces of others through music. Candice and Caitlyn opened the concert with an exciting duet called Romanian Rhapsody. Later, Riddhima performed a beautiful melody on the violin called Allegro Spirituoso. The notes from her violin floated throughout the room. Evelyn and Edwin played the upbeat Humoresque on the piano and violin. The happy tune had everyone tapping their feet along with the rhythm. Justin performed Lunar Eclipse on the piano. The piece sounded as intricate and mysterious as a lunar eclipse. The audience loved every piece and everyone was smiling by the end of the concert. We will visit again soon! (Reported by Selena Ritschel)

I have had many wonderful experiences at the Manor House. Over the period of one or two years, I have had amazing times here playing for the elderly. I love taking time and playing for them in preparations for contests and such. I also love hearing my brother play and the compliments of the elderly. To sum it up, this is one of my favorite places in the world. (Reported by Noah Chen)

On International Cooperative Day, Music and Love proudly partnered with the Shenyang Runmiao Volunteer Service Center to organize a special performance at Shenyang New World City Plaza. This meaningful collaboration celebrated the spirit of global cooperation and cultural exchange through the power of music. One of our young musicians, Allie, traveled to China this summer to take part in the event. She beautifully performed Violin Concerto No. 2 by Haydn, impressing the audience with her poise and talent. Her performance was a highlight of the celebration and reflected the core values of Music and Love—sharing joy and building bridges through music. The event brought together many students from different regions who showcased a variety of performances. There were piano solos, vocal performances, and traditional dances, all adding vibrant color to the occasion. Each act contributed to the spirit of unity and cooperation that the day represents. This event not only provided a platform for young artists to express themselves but also reinforced the importance of working together across borders to spread kindness and culture. Music and Love is honored to have been part of this memorable celebration and looks forward to more international collaborations in the future. (Reported by Allie Rui)

Today, we came back to perform at one of our favorites location, Byron house to bring our care and love to the seniors. The concert started strong with Alex Jiang’s violin solo “Haydn concerto No.2”. Her excellent skill and the expression of this music piece draw everyone’s attention and earned a big round applause as she well deserved. Then, the concert followed with several master performances of piano, cello, viola pieces that showcased how talented music and love’s young musicians are from a variety background and age range. Chloe Robertson and Sakura Sasaki duet “Barret Oboe Method No. 10” created another excitement for the crowd. The elegant tempo and clear, grand sound of the combination of bassoon and Oboe electrified the atmosphere of the room in an instant. We also welcomed our new friend Ayan Pai, who played a dedicated and beautiful piano song that brought joys and smiles on the seniors faces. The concert concluded strong with Julianne and Jacqueline Chung’s violin performances, with one audience kept saying how amazed she was by our 7 and 8 years old performers that can already perform sophisticated violin pieces very well.  It’s truly an honor and privilege for us to perform at Byron house for the seniors today and bring our heartily respect and love for them.
