My experiences at the Manor House have been extremely friendly. Over the past 2 years of playing for the elderly at this retirement center, I have had many great times. For example, meeting all the seniors (and making memories, all interesting) has been one of the many reasons I want to come here and play. Another reason is just playing the piano itself. I can just imagine the thoughts that come to mind when I play the piano for elderly people. Those are some (of many) reasons why I appreciate playing at the Manor House. (Reported by Stephen Chen)

The Music and Love concert today was very fun. It was our last concert of 2025. The music was wonderful, and we were able to share our love of music with the community. Next year will be a brand-new journey in 2026. We performed at the Ingleside Senior Living Center, which is one of several new places we have visited recently. This senior living center is big and bright, with many holiday decorations. The audience members were very kind and welcoming. We passed out cards and took pictures together. There were a total of 23 performances! We played many Christmas songs, such as Jingle Bell Rock, The 12 Days of Christmas, March of the Nutcracker, Holly Jolly Christmas, and Joy to the World. Our performances were filled with holiday joy. We also played classic piano and violin pieces like we usually do. Every performance felt like a beautiful gift for our honored audience and for ourselves. Behind the stage, friends played and spent time together. We were very happy to see each other during the holiday season. We are spreading music and gaining happiness. The concert was awesome, and the music was great. I am really looking forward to the Music and Love concerts in 2026, and I can’t imagine how much fun we will have next year! (Reported by Grace Zhou)

Today, the Music and Love visited Brightview Fallsgrove for the very first time, and it was a wonderful experience! The residents were very warm and welcoming. After each performance, they clapped loudly and shouted “Great job!” and “That was amazing!” It made us feel so happy and encouraged. We played several Christmas songs, and many residents hummed and sang along with us. The room felt full of joy, and the holiday spirit was everywhere. During the middle of the concert, we gave out handmade Christmas cards that we made ourselves. The residents smiled so big when they received them, and some of them said the cards made their day. After the concert ended, many residents came to thank us and told us how wonderful we were. We were so happy to share our music and love with them. This was a very special first visit to Brightview Fallsgrove, and we hope to come back again soon! (Reported by Allie Rui)
Music and Love were so excited to visit the Raphael House as Christmas gets closer! The Quartet played many of our favorite Christmas songs to share the joy of the holiday season with the seniors. Some of them sang along, smiled, and even clapped with the music, the hall was filled with Christmas spirit! Our ballet dancer Avery brought handmade paper-cut art as Christmas gifts for the residents. Giving our artwork to them and seeing their smiles made the visit even more special. This visit reminded us that music and art can bring people together, especially during the holidays. We felt grateful to share love, music, and Christmas cheer with the seniors, and it was a meaningful experience we will always remember. (Reported by Alex Jiang)
On a cold and windy December afternoon, Music & Love made its debut at Cogir of Potomac. From the moment we entered the capacious, beautifully decorated facility—complete with an aquarium filled with vibrant, colorful fish—it was clear that the seniors were excited by the number and variety of young performers. The holiday spirit quickly filled the room with a festive Christmas medley performed by Helen Morton, Dean Wei, and Chloe Choi, followed by Faith Tian and Esther Tian’s lively performance of March of the Nutcracker, along with an energetic performance of Santa Claus Gets Letter by Frankie Pepper on the piano. During the middle of the performance, the performers distributed handmade, one-of-a-kind Christmas cards to the seniors, and the smiles that spread across the room made their happiness impossible to miss. This thoughtful gesture is sure to remain an unforgettable part of their Christmas month. The audience’s attention was especially captured by Sihong Ren’s performance of Dance of the Golden Snake on the pipa, which drew great interest from the seniors. Later in the program, the seniors thoroughly enjoyed Band Molten Chaos’s performances of Call Me and Boulevard of Broken Dreams, and they were also delighted by Avery Wang’s graceful ballet. By the end of the afternoon, it was clear that Music & Love had made a memorable impression and would be warmly welcomed back in the future. (Reported by Benjamin Peng)
Today on December 13, our Music and Love concert went extremely well. Before we began, we handed out holiday cards, and all the residents were very delighted and happy with the wholesome messages and cute drawings on each one. During our concert, the musicians played with excellent technique, with each piece having its own special flair. Every single song was memorable and full of energy, setting the tone of the festive concert and filling everyone's hearts with joy. The vivacious, vibrant melodies reverberated off the walls, bringing a sense of festive holiday spirit to the entire building. At the end of the concert, several of the residents even joined in with the final pictures with our musicians. Music and love is a wonderful organization that brings so much happiness to others, and we sincerely hope it continues throughout this holiday season and next year! (Reported by Ivy Zhang)
Today our Music&Love had a wonderful performance, and it was a very exciting day for all of us. Every musician played with confidence and passion, and the audience really enjoyed the music. Some pieces were calm and smooth, while others were fast and full of energy. It was amazing to hear different instruments and see how hard everyone worked to share their talent. Besides the performances, many musicians were also interviewed today. They answered questions like, “Why is sharing music with others important to you?” and “What do you hope Music and Love will do in 2026?” All the young musicians spoke with respect and love. They said that sharing music makes people happy, helps the community, and brings everyone closer. Some even said they hope Music and Love can reach more places and help more people in the future. At the end of the event, the audience clapped loudly and told us how much they loved every performance. Our musicians felt proud because their music brought joy, kindness, and inspiration to others. Overall, it was an amazing and meaningful day, and we can’t wait for our next performance! (Reported by Candice Xu)
