Byron House, if you’re not aware, has a huge, spacious parking lot, which when connected to that of the church right next to it, is even larger. It should mainly be pretty empty on most days, but when our young musicians come in, the parking lot doesn’t look that spacious anymore. We had quite a spectacular performance today with our new musician, Daniel, acing the complicated piece, Concerto in A Minor on the violin, with our expert musician, Eileen, accompanying him on the piano. We had Emma and Eric play the Mazurka, another complicated piece that surely had impressed the seniors of Emma’s bow switching from one string to another with incredible speed, and Eric with his delicate fingers dancing on the piano. Completing the rest of the performances, Samuel took us away with his Liszt Un Sospiro, a beautiful and elegant piece, Grace made absolutely no mistakes playing one of Mozart’s Sonatas, and Claire played one of my personal favorite violin pieces, the Concertino in D Major, which I definitely think is also the seniors’ now, too. I can now officially say that this concert has definitely entered the “Top 10 Music and Love Performances” list!!! (Reported by Aric Deng)
