Concert at Raphael House

This is my first music and love concert after vacation. It is filled with so many beautiful piano and violin pieces. The first piece played was concerto in A minor. It is an interesting piece that is bouncy and jumpy. The second piece played was ice skater. It is a short but smooth song like a flowing river. Hayden Concerto No.2 is played on violin, by my friend Allie. It is a complex song that is sometimes smooth but sometimes jumpy, sometimes fast and sometimes slow. Romanian Rhapsody needs to be played by four hands. It’s mysterious at the beginning then quickens, it’s kind of complicated. My brother played a piano piece called morning. It sounds like a transition period from dark to light and wakes us in the morning. Valsette Op.36 No.2 was played on violin. It’s slow and calm with a lot of low notes. Treasure island is super calm and makes the audiences relaxing. Allegro is mysterious but becomes fun and jumpy towards the end. Milonga del angel is a calm piece and also relaxing. It relieves stress and anxiety level. Looking glass river is a medium-speed piano piece and not very long. Bouree is a violin and piano duet and the two musicians coordinate very well. Lihatlah lebih dekat is mysterious and spooky with a liitle bit of “Halloween night” vibes. Clementi Sonatina went from jumpy to smooth then back to jumpy again. Bach Polonaise is mysterious and cool. Polish Dance feels like a horse race because it’s fast and soon becomes smooth (like the horse slows down). Haydn is cool and is a very nice piece to enjoy. Last but not least, caiyunahuiyue is a Chinese piece, it shows a nice scene of beautiful clouds surrounding the moon. The entire performance is very successful! (Reported by Grace Zhou)
