This afternoon, our Music and Love China chapter continued our mission of service by hosting a uplifting charity showcase at Huayao Martial Arts School! Principal Chen has generously taken in numerous parentless youths, offering them a safe haven to live, study, and master martial arts. To lift their spirits and brighten their day, our team of youth helpers gathered alongside these resilient youngsters to share an unforgettable afternoon of creative expression and brotherhood. The atmosphere was electric as the students and host children took the stage together, sharing the floor for energetic dance routines, heartfelt vocal numbers, and lively performances. Beyond the artistic collaboration, our team presented the residents with tailored donations of educational supplies, playthings, and reading materials to enrich their daily routines. Music and Love China Chapter: Bringing Warmth and Joy to 18 Orphaned Children at Xinle Site Museum8/12/2026 This morning was filled with deep warmth, gentle care, and meaningful connection as our Music and Love China chapter organized a compassionate community outing to the Shenyang Xinle Site Museum! Dedicated volunteer teachers, along with student volunteers from Shenyang No. 95 Middle School, came together with a unified purpose: to provide loving companionship, personalized care, and undivided attention to 18 orphaned children during an unforgettable cultural journey. From the moment the children arrived, our volunteers ensured that every child felt safe, cherished, and supported. Walking hand-in-hand through the museum, the volunteers carefully guided the kids as they discovered ancient tools, pottery, and rich historic relics, taking the time to explain fascinating details and answer every curious question with patience and encouraging smiles. Throughout the entire morning, our primary focus was on creating a comforting environment where these children—who often lack family support—could feel truly seen, valued, and embraced. Watching their faces light up with joy and seeing them comfortably hold hands with our student volunteers was a tender reminder of what Music and Love stands for. Through thoughtful companionship and unconditional affection, we remain deeply committed to wrapping our arms around vulnerable children, nurturing their happiness, and letting them know that they are never alone. Today was an extraordinarily heartwarming day for our Music and Love China chapter as we organized a special silkworm culture trip at Shengjing Longcheng, dedicated entirely to bringing companionship, warmth, and joy to a hearing-impaired child and five orphan children. Accompanied by four thoughtful student volunteers from Liaoning Province Experimental High School, the kids spent a wonderful afternoon exploring exhibits and listening to guest presenter Mr. Zhang share the fascinating 8,000-year history of Chinese sericulture—a traditional heritage he is working to submit for UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage recognition. Seeing the children’s faces light up as they learned and discovered together reminded us of the true heart of our mission: that through gentle presence, shared knowledge, and unconditional affection, we can make every vulnerable child feel cherished, included, and deeply loved. Today was an unforgettable milestone for all of us as the Music and Love China chapter partnered with the Star Start Language Arts School to present a dazzling speech and performance showcase! Taking place on a grand stage at Wanda Plaza, our young performers lit up the venue with captivating public speaking, expressive recitations, and inspiring stage showcases. Seeing all the talented children gather together with bright smiles and immense passion truly reflected the heart of our mission. This wonderful event stands as a shining example of Sino-U.S. collaboration—proving that when youth from both nations join hands through the shared languages of art, speech, and love, we can build stronger cultural bridges, inspire confidence in the next generation, and create a far brighter, more inclusive world together. Today was an extraordinarily special day for all of us at Music and Love as our China chapter hosted one of my absolute favorite events of the summer: "My Favorite City"—a vibrant Chinese Cultural & Tourism Charity Showcase! Our talented youth volunteers took the audience on a colorful tour across China by sharing the rich history of Nanjing, the grand heritage of Shenyang, and the vibrant panda-filled culture of Chengdu in both English and Chinese, followed by heartfelt musical performances that filled the room with joy. To top off this incredible afternoon, our instructors led a hands-on leathercraft workshop where our volunteers paired up with children with special needs, helping them stitch and craft their own custom keepsakes to take home; seeing the kids' proud, beaming smiles as they created art together reminded me once again that whether through music, culture, or hands-on crafting, our mission is all about building a world where every single child feels seen, celebrated, and loved.
