Concert at Asbury Methodist Village

At the Music and Love concert at Asbury Methodist Village, I heard many beautiful performances and also met some special guest performers today. At the beginning of the concert, we had a special guest, Miss Historic Maryland Ashley, who gave a very impressive opening remark. She spoke kindly and helped everyone feel excited for the performances. Grace Zhou started with a fast and cheerful Haydn sonata on the piano. Then I played a Debussy piece with a soft and deeper melody. My favorite performance was the Canon in D violin duet by Jacqueline and Julianne Chung because it sounded beautiful and peaceful. We also had special guests- the Vocal Group: Anaelle Padelford, Aylin Birol, Eliana Eno, and Grace Parodi. They sang a very touching song called “The Rivers Are Running Again.” Their singing was full of emotion, and I saw one mom in the audience wiping tears from her eyes because she was so touched by the music. At the end of the concert, all the performers shared cakes with the seniors. It was a loving and joyful day full of music, kindness, friendship, and happy memories. We are looking forward to seeing more special guest performers at our events in the near future. (Reported by Timmy Li)
